Why I think this is important
This is a list of 15 women who made contributions to the Civil Rights movement. They include Ella Baker, founder of the Student NonViolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and Georgia Gilmore who was instrumental during the Montgomery bus boycott. Each woman has a link to an article about her, and a few have audio recordings of interviews.
