Why I think this is important
The magazine “The Atlantic” is launching a project to discuss Black history in the United States. It seeks to present “crucial events and conversations that have been intentionally left out of America’s narrative.” Chapter one, written by several authors, discusses sports, slave narratives, preserving items in archives, and so much more.
