Why I think this is important

The Tuskegee Airmen led a nonviolent action to integrate the Officer’s Club in 1945. The War Department had ordered all recreational facilities to be integrated in 1944. They simply walked in to the white officer’s club and played pool, got a drink, smoked cigarettes, and sat down. This sit-in led to the peaceful sit-in movements of the 1950’s and 1060’s.
