Why I think this is important

3D printing has entered the public sphere from Star Trek to Westworld. The technical engineering community calls it “Additive Manufacturing” and in reality these terms are a suite of 7 different technology categories that make biomaterials, polymers, metals, ceramics, electronics, and even food. This is a great educational link that explores the 7 different technology categories.
